Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with Snapdragon 855 spotted on Geekbench ahead of February 20th launch

Following the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Geekbench listing, its elder sibling the Galaxy S10 Plus has now surfaced on the benchmarking site. The handset has been spotted with the model number SM-G975U and appears to employ the same chipset and RAM as seen on the 'Lite' variant. The Galaxy S10 Plus Geekbench listing appears weeks ahead of the February 20th Samsung Unpacked event, where the company's next generation of flagship smartphones are expected to debut. 

The Galaxy S10 Plus with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor (under the name MSMNile) and 6GB RAM have secured a much better score compared to the Galaxy S10 Lite. In the single-core test, the handset got 3,413 points, while its multi-core test fetched impressive 10,256 points. The device also boots the latest Android 9 Pie software, which is the latest version of the industry.

Only if you're living in a cave that has no internet, you wouldn't have heard of Samsung's Galaxy S10 series. Samsung is slated to launch its the next-gen flagship smartphones on February 20th, and it's expected to come in four models dubbed as Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Plus, and a 5G Galaxy S10.

All the devices will most likely differ from each other in more than one ways, such as the form factor, configurations, and cameras. However, the common thread among the upcoming Galaxy S10 variants is expected to be the chipset and software. The handsets are certain to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 in the US and South Korea, while in other markets, including India, they are likely to be driven Exynos 9820 chipset.

The other specifications are vague at the moment, but we do know is that the Galaxy S10 variants will come with the highest ever screen-to-body ratio on Samsung devices. The handsets have been tipped to come with a punch-hole display with the selfie camera mounted at the top-right corner. The phones are also expected to employ the advanced ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors, though the Lite model will be left out in the cold with a physical side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
