  • The tipster had previously predicted the launch to happen on January 18th, 2024. This was a month before the Galaxy S23 series had debuted.
  • This is said to be to compete better with Vivo, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and other brand launches early next year.
  • The company could hold this Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, California like it had for the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy S24 series in India on the same date as the global launch. Here’s what we expect these phones to bring aboard:

Samsung Galaxy S24 camera features

Samsung has released a video detailing the features of the 200MP ISOCELL camera powered by the new Snapdragon chip. Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to have a 200MP primary camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. So, the camera features presented in the following video are likely to be part of the Galaxy S24 series.

  • Zoom Anyplace camera: The video starts off showing the Samsung Galaxy S24 camera’s ability to “simultaneously capture the full field of view and zoomed-in areas on video”. The latter is called Zoom Anyplace camera and lets you zoom between recording up to 4x level at 4K quality. This also means you can zoom in on subjects in the corner and save them at 4K quality.
  • Automatic Subject Tracking: The ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace camera is capable of tracking an individual subject in the video in real time
  • End-to-End (E2E) AI Remosaic: Remosaicing and image signal processing are performed concurrently, as opposed to a sequential process. This, according to Samsung saves both time and data (otherwise lost in latency) and leads to “richer details and colours“.

In a different post, tipster IceUniverse says the Galaxy S24 series will support HDR photos in photo albums.

Samsung Galaxy S24 satellite connectivity (expected)

Samsung could equip the Galaxy S24 series with two-way satellite connectivity for emergency situations. This was something hinted at by Park Yong-in, CEO of the Samsung System LSI division.
