Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Tensor-powered Pixel phones to get AI Assistant with Bard first: report

Assistant with Bard feature to come on Galaxy S24, Pixel phones

• We're aware that the Pixel 8 series is set to receive the Assistant with Bard feature. Besides that, Google is focusing on introducing Assistant with Bard to the upcoming Galaxy S24, as per a report by 9To5Google.
• Furthermore, in the beta version 14.41 of the Google app, the publication has found indications pointing towards plans for integrating this feature with the Tensor-powered Pixel 6 and more recent devices, along with the Galaxy S23 series.

"Assistant with Bard is still an early experiment, so we're rolling it out to early testers soon to get their feedback before bringing it to the public over the next few months," Google said in a blogpost last week.

• The rollout of the AI-driven digital voice assistant feature is expected to start with the Pixel 8, followed by the Galaxy S24 in the early part of the next year.
• Following that, there are indications that older Tensor-based Pixels and the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be the next to receive the feature before it becomes more widely available.

What is Assistant with Bard?

• Google's Assistant with Bard is like a personal assistant that uses advanced AI.
• It brings together Bard's ability to generate content and think logically with the Assistant's personalised support.
• Users can communicate with it through text, voice, or images, and it can even perform tasks for the user.

• At the launch, Google said it is creating Assistant with Bard to be a more customised assistant connected to Google services users are already familiar with, such as Gmail and Docs.
• Google has also noted that, in the near future, users will be able to use it on their Android and iOS mobile devices.

Meanwhile, as per reports, Samsung might introduce various Generative AI-powered capabilities with their upcoming Galaxy S24 phones. Recently, the company disclosed that their new Exynos 2400 chipset will provide 14.7 times faster AI processing that will result in swifter performance of Generative AI tasks, especially in the context of text-to-image tasks, on their upcoming flagship smartphones.
