Samsung Galaxy S24 with Titanium chassis
Samsung already uses Titanium in its smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Now, it seems time for the phones. As per tipster Revegnus on X, “the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra all have titanium frames”.
He further adds that Samsung Electronics could produce Titanium frames for the vanilla model in its South Korean factory while acquiring titanium frames for the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra from two of its partner companies.
As another X user asks if this would make the device lighter, we believe it will, although not as big a difference as it made to the new iPhone 15 Pros. The reason is that iPhones shifted from steel to Titanium and steel is much heavier. In comparison, the difference between titanium and the aluminium used by the Samsung Galaxy S23 series wouldn’t be that big.
Having said that, this is still a rumour only and we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt. Even reputed leakster Ice Universe replied “only Ultra” on Revegnus’s tweet.
In any case, we should have more concrete evidence in the months and weeks leading up to the Galaxy S24’s supposed early 2024 launch.
