- The Galaxy S24 Ultra was earlier rumoured to come with 2,500 nits of peak brightness. Now according to the tipster Ahmed Qwaider, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will actually feature 2,600 nits of peak brightness.
- Although just a 100 nits higher, it's still a big upgrade for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the same is expected on the other two models as well.
- In comparison, the Galaxy S23 series offered 1,750 nits of peak brightness. The Galaxy S24 Ultra would also surpass the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Google Pixel 8 Pro, which come with 2,000 nits and 2,400 nits of peak brightness, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: what we know so far
- Display: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be a curved display this time.
- Processor: It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Exynos 2400 chipset depending on the market. But it's speculated that the Ultra model will only come with the Snapdragon chipset.
- Cameras: The smartphone is expected to house a 200MP ISOCELL HP25X primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 50MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telelphoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies we could see a 12MP front camera.
- Battery, charging: It's tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery. Both phones are tipped to come with 45W fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to debut on January 17th, 2024. The phones will reportedly be up for pre-orders on the same day, and its open sale is said to take place on January 20th. Samsung is expected to announce the official launch date soon.
