Shah Rukh Khan has a special treat for all his fans on his birthday with the trailer drop of his upcoming film ‘Dunki’. This is SRK’s third film of the year after the action-packed titles, Pathaan and Jawan. Dunki, on the other hand, is going to be a romantic comedy, and it’s set to release this Christmas.

The first teaser trailer of Dunki dropped today giving us a glimpse of what to expect from SRK’s upcoming movie. It’s a romantic comedy drama about a group of Indians who use an illegal backdoor route for countries such as the UK, Canada and the US, and the struggle to come back to India. The trailer caption reads, “Get ready to embark on this emotional rollercoaster of the most amazing journey ever taken, as we present to you the Dunki Drop 1.”
The trailer begins with a group of people dressed in black trying to cross a desert. But there’s a shooter who fires at them as they’re trying to escape. Then it moves back to Punjab where we’re introduced to the cast, and the group of five who want to go to London. Joining Shah Rukh Khan and his “family of four stubborn fools” including Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Balli.
Shah Rukh Khan’s character is ‘Hardy’ and, he takes on the task of making sure that he and his friends reach London no matter what. We’re also shown a glimpse of London but it’s just police cars chasing, which clearly indicates lots of drama during their stay in the city.
The trailer also starts with a song for the movie titled “Badi Door Se Aayein Hain”. It’s sung by Sonu Nigam, composed by Pritam and the lyrics are by Javed Akhtar. Dunki also marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani who is known for films such as Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, 3 Idiots and PK.
