If you are a fan of superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and loved watching them together in “Pathaan,” then you need to hold your horses. A report by Variety has confirmed that they will be seen together in an upcoming spy film titled ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’. Yes, you heard that right. The report mentioned that the upcoming film would be directed by Siddharth Anand.
Shah Rukh-Salman starrer ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’
Siddharth will get Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together for their first full-fledged film since “Karan Arjun” in 1995. Siddharth will also get all the help he needs to make “Tiger vs. Pathaan” the biggest movie India has ever made, the report said, citing a trade source.
The major Indian film studio Yash Raj Films will start shooting the movie in January 2024. However, Yash Raj Films hasn’t commented on the matter yet.
About half of the upcoming movies from Yash Raj Films are likely to be set in the spy universe, as per the report.
“Pathaan,” which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, has made $130 million so far this year, making it the biggest Indian hit of 2023 so far. The spy universe began with the Tiger movies, which starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. They were “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). “War” (2019), which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was the next movie in the series. Together, the four movies have made about $300 million.
“Tiger 3,” the next movie in the spy universe, is set to come out in November, during the Diwali festival.
