Smart TVs reviewed by 91mobiles in Q2, 2025

Q2 2025 was just as exciting as the first quarter of the year, as 91mobiles had the pleasure of reviewing four new TVs. Each offered a unique mix of features, performance, and value. This quarter’s lineup wasn’t just about the usual suspects—we saw a couple of impressive models from well-established players like Sony and Xiaomi, but what made things particularly interesting was the arrival of Lumio, a brand-new entrant aiming to shake up the Indian TV market. The brand came out all guns blazing with three screen variants: 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch. In fact, the top-of-the-line offers a whopping Mini-LED panel, which sets a brand new benchmark when it comes to pure value!

The incumbent brands were out in full force, too. Sony introduced what it considers a budget TV. Although “budget” in Sony’s world still carries a relatively premium feel and price tag. On the other hand, Xiaomi stuck to its core strength, launching a budget TV that doubles down on value-for-money, offering a strong spec sheet at a highly competitive price point.

Anyway, let’s get down to it and check out the TVs we reviewed this year.

Lumio Vision 7

The Lumio Vision 7 is available in 3 screen sizes – 43, 50, and 55-inch priced at Rs 29,999, Rs 34,999, and Rs 39,999, respectively. We had the 50-inch variant for review. What the TV has going for it is excellent picture quality for the price, both in SDR and HDR, very good sound output, ergonomic remote control, and buttery smooth UI. It is also a decent TV for gaming. It’s tough to nitpick the cons of the TV as the package on offer is so good. But if I had to nitpick, I’d say there is a colour shift at extreme angles.

Editor’s rating – 9/10

Pros

  • Great HDR and SDR performance
  • Good sound output for TV speakers
  • Smooth and snappy UI
  • Ergonomic and easy-to-use remote control

Cons

  • Colour shift at extreme angles

Lumio Vision 9

The Lumio Vision 9 is available in one screen size – 55 inches, priced at Rs 59,999. For this price, the TV is an excellent option if picture quality is a priority for you. It features mini LED backlighting with local dimming, providing a cinematic experience for content consumption and gaming in both HDR and SDR. It also has very accurate colours in the movie preset. It comes with an ergonomic remote control and has a buttery smooth UI. It is also a decent TV for gaming. The TV exhibits some black crushing, but it’s only noticeable if you’re aware of the issue. The only surprise is that the Lumio Vision 7 50-inch we reviewed had better sound output than the Vision 9. But if you are considering the Vision 9, I recommend budgeting for a soundbar, as that will truly elevate your content consumption experience.

Editor’s rating – 8.8/10

Pros

  • Great HDR and SDR performance
  • Smooth and snappy UI
  • Ergonomic remote control
  • Good TV for gaming
  • MiniLED backlighting + Local Dimming works well

Cons

  • Slight black crushing
  • Audio output could be better

Sony Bravia 2 II

The Sony Bravia 2 II isn’t about gimmicks. It’s not going to flash 144Hz refresh rates or claim QD-MiniLED glory. What it does offer, however, is consistent performance, strong upscaling, clean HDR visuals, and solid smart features. All coupled with the reliability and brand value of Sony, but at a sensible price point. Sure, it’s missing Dolby Vision and 120Hz support. But for ₹75,000 (or less during sales), those are fair compromises, especially for the refined experience that this TV offers. Sure, you can get QLED TVs from different brands for the same price, or even cheaper. But, then again, Sony is Sony, and you can’t really go wrong with the Bravia 2 II either.

Editor’s Rating: 8.3 / 10

Pros:

  • Sharp 4K picture quality with great upscaling
  • Clean and responsive Google TV UI
  • Good audio tuning despite tiny speakers
  • Optimised for gaming with PS5

Cons:

  • No Dolby Vision support
  • Only 60Hz refresh rate

Xiaomi FX Pro QLED

This TV gets the basics right and then some. Its 4K QLED panel, paired with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, delivers vibrant visuals for everyday content consumption. The inclusion of Fire TV OS with Alexa makes for a seamless smart experience, while Dolby and DTS-X audio support ensures it’s no slouch in the sound department either. Casual gamers will also appreciate the 120Hz mode at 1080p. That said, it’s not a perfect all-rounder. Enthusiasts might miss true 120Hz support at 4K, and the brightness levels may fall short in sunlit environments. Also, if you’re used to the Google TV ecosystem, this might take some getting used to. Still, for the price, this TV is a solid package for most users, particularly those prioritising audio-visual quality and smart features over cutting-edge gaming specs.

Editor’s Rating: 8 / 10

Pros:

  • Vivid 4K QLED panel with HDR10+
  • Built-in Fire TV OS with Alexa
  • 120Hz at 1080p is good for casual gaming
  • Loud and clear audio
  • Good port selection

Cons:

  • Game Mode only works at Full HD
  • Peak brightness isn’t high enough for bright, sunlit rooms
  • UI can lag occasionally
  • No Google TV, if you’re used to that ecosystem
