A few days ago, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Transsion Holdings India, had revealed that Tecno will soon launch a new smartphone in India. He, however, had not revealed the name of the phone. Back then, this upcoming handset from Tecno was speculated to be the Tecno POVA 2, a successor to the Tecno POVA that was launched in 2020. However, there was no confirmation about it. Well, that changes today. Tecno has now confirmed that its next smartphone in India will be the Tecno POVA 2. The brand has also revealed the Tecno POVA 2 India launch date and specifications.

A special page on Amazon India reveals that the Tecno POVA 2 launch date in India is August 2nd. The page also lists key specifications of the Tecno POVA 2. According to it, the smartphone will have the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. When it comes to imaging, the page says that the Tecno POVA 2 has a 48MP AI quad rear cameras with three LED flash modules. According to the teaser page, the phone features a 7,000mAh battery, making the POVA 2 a smartphone with one of the largest battery capacities in India. The battery supports 18W charging speed.

That being said, the teaser image shows the front facia of the smartphone, which reveals that the display will have a notch located in the top-centre.
