Top tech news this week: Nothing Phone (2) pre-orders, OnePlus Nord 3 launch date and more

June has come to an end but the most anticipated events in tech are now going to start. This month we did see a couple of smartphone launches but it was more about gearing up for the upcoming events. In the last week of this month, OnePlus announced its Nord Summer Launch Event, and Nothing started pre-orders for the Phone (2) in India.

We also witnessed a major leak of prices of upcoming phones including the Realme Narzo 60 series and iQOO Neo 7 Pro.

So let’s take a look at everything that happened in tech this week.

OnePlus Nord Summer Launch Event

OnePlus is launching the Nord 3, Nord CE 3, and Nord Buds 2r in India on July 5th. OnePlus has been teasing its upcoming devices, and it also has a dedicated launch event page. The OnePlus Nord 3 will house a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS, and it will launch in two colour options of ‘Tempest Gray’ and ‘Misty Green’. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 will be a more powerful version of the Nord CE 3 Lite, but there’s no word on its pricing yet. As for the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r TWS, it’s expected to be a more affordable version of the Nord Buds 2.

Amazon leaks prices of upcoming phones

Amazon announced Prime Day dates for this year along with teasers on deals and offers for the sale. In doing so, the e-commerce platform also accidentally leaked prices of the Realme Narzo 60, iQOO Neo 7 Pro, and Moto Razr 40. the iQOO Neo 7 Pro will be priced at Rs 33,999 for the base model. According to the Amazon reveal, the Moto Razr 40 series will start at Rs 59,999, the Narzo 60 series at Rs 17,999, and the iQOO Neo 7 Pro at Rs 33,999.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE first look

Samsung’s elusive Galaxy S23 FE is back in the news with what’s believed to be the phone’s leaked renders. The Galaxy S23 FE is seen with a punch-hole display, selfie camera on top centre, and vertically aligned rear cameras. The USB Type-C port, SIM tray section, and primary microphone are housed at the bottom. The smartphone is also seen in a white colour but it’s expected to launch in more options. There’s still no official word from Samsung yet but the phone is still expected to launch.

Nothing Phone (2) pre-order India

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (2) are now live in India. Those interested will have to pay a refundable deposit of Rs 2,000 to book the Nothing Phone (2). There are pre-order offers as well, and these include a 50 percent discount on Nothing accessories, and instant cashback on select banks. Nothing Phone (2) is launching globally on July 11th, and it will be available to purchase via Flipkart.

ASUS ZenFone 10 launch

ASUS launched the ZenFone 10 in European markets. The smartphone comes with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. It has a 5.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, a 50MP and 13MP dual-camera setup, and a 32MP selfie camera. ASUS Zenfone 10 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It packs a 4,300mAh with 30W fast charging support.
