There’s been a lot brewing in the tech world with exciting launches coming up. This week, Google gave us the first official look at the Pixel 8 series, and also shared details about its upcoming event. Google also unveiled a new Android logo ahead of the Android 14 release. Google Pixel 8 series latest update
Google revealed quite a bit this week about the Pixel 8 series, starting with a teaser video showcasing the design of both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This also confirmed triple rear cameras and a temperature sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro, and dual rear cameras on the Pixel 8. Google also announced that it will start pre-orders for the Pixel 8 series in India on October 5th. Notably, Google has confirmed the Pixel Watch 2 will be coming to India, unlike its predecessor.
Honor 90 5G India launch date
Honor’s much anticipated comeback in India will take place on September 14th with the launch of the Honor 90 5G smartphone. This will mark the re-entry of Honor in the Indian smartphone market. Honor has been teasing its upcoming phone ahead of the launch. It’s confirmed to come with a 3840Hz risk-free dimming feature, Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1, and a 200MP primary camera sensor.
Made-in-India iPhone 15 shipments
This year, Apple has reportedly kick-started assembling the iPhone 15 in India much earlier than expected. Another report this week stated that these made in India iPhone 15 units will be available to ship the same time as the global release. This is a big feat for Apple since the iPhones assembled in India usually arrive months after the global launch. Apple is launching the iPhone 15 series on September 12th.
New Android logo
Android has a new logo as Google prepares to release the latest version next month. Google has revamped not just the droid but the text as well. The new Android text now has the letter ‘A’ written in uppercase. The font is also bolder now, and goes with the Material You theme. The Android robot is now in 3D with more curves and dimensions.
Moto G54 5G, Realme Narzo 60x 5G launch in India and more
There were a total of four smartphone launches in India this week. Realme C51 launched on September 4th. It’s a budget smartphone priced at Rs 8,999. Then, the Moto G54 5G launched in India on September 6th for a starting price of Rs 15,999. Realme launched another phone on the same day, and it’s the Narzo 60x 5G priced at Rs 12,999. Lastly, the OPPO A38 debuted on October 8th as a budget offering priced at Rs 12,999.
