“The Vivo Y12 will be priced around Rs 12,000, while the Vivo Y15 smartphone at Rs 14,990”
After exclusively reporting about the Vivo Y15 smartphone, 91mobiles has learned from its retail sources that the Chinese brand has another upcoming smartphone in the lineup called Vivo Y12. Both the Y12 and Y15 smartphones will be making their debut in the Indian market this month, the sources say. The exact launch date isn’t known at the moment, but we can tell you that the Vivo Y12 smartphone will be priced around Rs 12,000, while the Vivo Y15, as reported previously, will come with a sticker price of Rs 14,990.
There are no details available about the handsets’ specifications at the moment, except that the Vivo Y15 will have triple camera module at the back. To recall, Vivo has already introduced triple rear cameras in its Y series with Vivo Y17 (first impressions) smartphone. However, the phone has been priced in the country at Rs 17,990. The upcoming Vivo Y15 will give an option to buyers looking for a triple camera smartphone under Rs 15,000. The company will most likely make the handset along with Vivo Y12 available in the offline market. That’s all we know so far!
Meanwhile, Vivo has refreshed its budget offering the Vivo Y91 with new RAM and chipset in India. The handset is now available with 3GB RAM and a slightly better Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 mobile platform instead of 2GB of RAM and MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Both the variants are available for sale in the country. While the Vivo Y91’s 2GB RAM variant comes with a sticker price of Rs 8,990, the 3GB RAM variant will set you back to Rs 9,990.
