Xiaomi 13 series launch date has been officially revealed by the company, days after it was revealed through the alleged Mi Store app screenshots. The phones now debut on December 11th at 7:00 PM IST. The event was originally supposed to happen on December 1st but was delayed due to the sudden death of China’s former leader Jiang Zemin. The lineup is said to include the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro; both are expected to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC.

The invite teaser image shows the Xiaomi 13 will have a boxy design similar to iPhones, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a curved display with rounded edges. Both phones have a rectangular module on the back to house triple camera sensors.

Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro specifications

Xiaomi 13: The Xiaomi 13 is expected to come with a 6.2-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+, DC Dimming, and flat edges. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC coupled with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset will be paired with Adreno GPU for graphics, up to 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The Xiaomi 13 will run on Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box.

Moving to optics, the Xiaomi 13 is expected to have triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS and LED flash, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a macro unit. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone is expected to pack a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
