Xiaomi 14 series including Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are launching today in China. At the Qualcomm event the other day, Xiaomi announced these two phones will be the first to launch with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. They are also the first phones to feature the company’s new Android skin called HyperOS. So, besides the phones and their different specs and features, we could also get to witness the MIUI successor and what new it has to offer.

Xiaomi 14 series is set to launch in China today at 7 pm CST or 4.30 pm IST. It would be live-streamed on Xiaomi China and Weibo.com. You can download a VPN to stream the event.
Xiaomi 14 specifications: what to expect?
- Display: From the official renders and promotional images shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on Weibo, we know Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch screen with extremely thin bezels of about 1.61mm on the top and around 1.71mm on the bottom. These are thinner than what we have on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.

As per previous rumours, this screen is an AMOLED panel with 12-bit colours, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support.
Meanwhile, the Pro model is rumoured to come with a larger 6.6-inch flat AMOLED 2.5D display with 2K resolution, 3000nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate.
