YouTube Playables

  • YouTube Playables has been launched for Premium subscribers but these games are currently available for free on desktop.
  • It’s available on mobile as well but we couldn’t access it even on a YouTube Premium, so it seems it is in the process of rolling out.
  • Those who are interested can go to YouTube > Explore > YouTube Playables.
  • Once you open YouTube Playables, there will be two sections — ‘Home’ and ‘Browse’. Under Home, YouTube showcases games that are popular on the platform. You can check out other games by going to Browse.

Before you get excited, these are simple and easy games that you can play to pass your time. The categories are mostly brain and puzzle, arcade, board and card, trivia and more. YouTube is offering games such as Angry Birds Showdown, Daily and FreeCell Solitaire, My Space Pet, Stack Bounce, and Words of Wonder.

You can start playing by tapping on any game that opens within YouTube itself. You can enter fullscreen mode to play the game, and share it on other platforms as well. If you want to exit the game, and check out other titles, tap on the ‘View all Playables’ button just below.

YouTube Playables has been launched as an experiment for Premium. It’s available to use until March 28th, 2024. After that, YouTube will decide whether to keep the feature or not launch it at all. Since the games are free for now, anyone can try it out without having to subscribe to YouTube Premium.
