Director Anil Krishna narrated the story in one and a half hours to Nandamuri Kalyan Ram who immediately accepted to make him the director of his next film. He liked the treatment aspect in the script.
The rain fight sequence was shot in 16 mm so that the output came in 500 fps, giving the makers ample frames per second which made the ramping shots used in the fight appear different and visually appealing.
Director Anil Krishna worked on the film's script for 3 years.
Anil Krishna had to make changes keeping in mind the image Nandamuri Kalyan Ram had achieved after the success of Athanokkade (2005). The story wasn't changed but the hero's character was elevated with minor changes.
The film was initially titled "Parthu" after the protagonist, before changes leading up to the title "Asadhyudu" were made.
"Pardhoo: Boss, you're all beating him up. I'm pretty sure you've a problem with him. But if anyone is getting killed in front of me, I can't be a spectator."
