Nokia 9 PureView press renders reveal the smartphone in full glory

The MWC 2019 is about to kick off in a couple of days and it will be a festive week for smartphone enthusiasts as smartphone makes will be bringing some pretty cutting-edge stuff to the global stage this year. Among them is Nokia, which will showcase its penta-lens Nokia 9 PureView smartphone. Now, the handset design has leaked many times in the past but nothing comes close to press renders and that is exactly what we’ve been treated to this morning. These renders are probably the closest thing you’ll see to an official Nokia 9 PureView.

Despite these renders being HD and all, there’s little new that could be said about the smartphone design as previously reported renders have been spot on. Hence, all we get to do is gawk at that penta-camera setup on the rear of the device. The Nokia 9 PureView has an in-screen fingerprint reader and ample top and bottom bezels for a 2019 flagship. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack on the device and a USB Type-C port resides at the bottom of the device.

Like all Nokia devices, the upcoming world’s first penta-camera phone will also run vanilla Android and it should be Android Pie out of the box as it’s part of the Android One program. Other vital specifications include a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB of RAM and some exclusive features like a reported 64MP photography mode. The display on the Nokia 9 PureView is revealed as a 5.99-inch 2K display with HDR10 compliance. A recent encounter with the FCC also revealed that the handset isn’t 5G-enabled but has support for 18W fast charging. The handset should launch in the US as well as it has passed necessary certification. Nokia is also expected to showcase the Nokia 8.1 with a punch-hole display at its MWC premiere in a few days
