Acer has unveiled four new Chromebook laptops, including an industry first model that features a large 17.3-inch display. The company launched the Acer Chromebook 317, Chromebook Spin 713, Chromebook Enterprise 713, Chromebook 514, and the Chromebook 314. The new laptops offer some exciting features such as Intel EVO platform certification, 11th gen Intel Core processors, Wi-Fi 6, improved designs, and long battery life. Acer’s new Chromebooks can be used by students, consumers, and business users.
New Acer Chromebook prices and availability
The latest Chromebooks from Acer will be available in North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa starting this month. You’ll be able to get your hands on the Chromebook 317, and the Chromebook Spin 713 as early as June for a starting price of USD 379 (approx. Rs 27,600) and USD 699 (approx Rs 50,100), respectively.
The Chromebook 314 will be available for purchase in July and start at USD 269 (approx. Rs 19,600), whereas the Chromebook 514 will start at USD 599 (approx. Rs 43,600) and hit shelves in October.
New Acer Chromebook features
The Acer Chromebook 317 is a first of its kind, thanks to its large 17.3-inch display. This laptop features thin bezels, anti-glare coating on the display, and supports an option webcam and touchscreen. It gets a high-quality keyboard with optional backlighting, and a large touchpad with integrated numeric keypad. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel Celeron processors, and get Wi-Fi 6, two USB Type-C ports, and offer up to 10 hours of battery life.
The Chromebook Spin 713 variants, which includes the standard version and the Enterprise model, feature latest 11th gen Intel Core chipsets and Thunderbolt 4 ports. These are also the first Chromebooks to support the Intel EVO platform. They get an aluminium chassis with military grade durability, VertView 13.5-inch display, DTS Audio, lightweight design, and can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life while supporting fast charging.
The Acer Chromebook 514 features a 14-inch display, and is also available in an Enterprise variant. They are powered by the 11th gen Intel Core processors, offer long battery life, feature dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, and Corning Gorilla glass protected touchpad.
Finally, the Chromebook 314 is the most portable and affordable of the lot, and is powered by the MediaTek MT8183 octa-core processor. This laptop comes with a 14-inch FHD display, USB Type-C connectivity, lightweight design, and promises a battery life of up to 15 hours on a single charge.
