Acer is going to launch the Predator Helio 16 gaming laptop in India soon. It will be powered by an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 GPU. It also boasts some AI chops. Here’s a look at the AI capabilities and other features it could bring.
Acer Predator Helios 16 specifications (expected)
The company has hosted an Amazon microsite teasing the Predator laptop’s launch via the platform.
- Processor: Acer Predator Helios 16 could run on 14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU.
- Graphics: For gaming, video editing and other applications, the laptop could be carrying NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 GPU.
- Memory: Under the hood, there could be up to 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz RAM and 2TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage.
- Cooling solution: The laptop’s performance could be backed by dual 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, liquid metal thermal grease and vector heat pipes.
- AI features: Two of the standout AI applications are going to be PurifiedVoice 2.0 and PurifiedView, which use machine learning to enhance voice and webcam video output during video calls.
- Keyboard: Predator Helios 16 is also said to have MagKey 3.0 support which allows for swappable mechanical keys. The keyboard could also feature a customisable per-key RGB backlight.
- Connectivity: The list of IO options could consist of Killer DoubleShot Pro, Killer Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a microSD card reader.
- Display: On the front, the laptop could be sporting a 16-inch WQXGA MiniLED panel.
- Battery: A 90Whr cell could be keeping the lights on.
