Banner ads in JioCinema Premium ad-free plans

JioCinema mentioned that its ad-free premium plan will remove advertisements from TV shows, movies, series, and other content. It has also stated that users will continue to see ads in live TV streaming and sports. However, the streaming platform initially did not disclose that the ad-free plan only applies to video ads during streaming.

It is worth noting that JioCinema’s help section shows users with new subscription plans will continue encountering banner ads within the app. It looks like these advertisements primarily appear on the application’s homepage and occasionally in other sections.

Via X (formerly Twitter), a user named Gaurav Rathod shared that he could still see banner ads on the app even after he subscribed to the newly announced ad-free plan. He expressed that the ad-free plan offered by JioCinema is misleading because the platform doesn’t mention it during the subscription process.

JioCinema Premium Rs 29, Rs 89 ad-free plans

Both Rs 29 and Rs 89 monthly plans offer video ad-free content, including series, children’s shows, movies, and more, in 4K quality alongside offline viewing options. The difference between the two is that the Rs 29 plan allows streaming only on one device, and Rs 89 allows streaming on up to four devices.

During the launch of these new plans, JioCinema also stated that it would keep offering sports content like the Indian Premier League (IPL) and other entertainment programmes for free with advertisements.

On the other hand, shows like Oppenheimer, Game Of Thrones, House Of The Dragon, Barbie, Murder In Mahim, Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond, and more, as well as kids’ shows like Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, and Motu Patlu, will be included in the newly announced plans.
