Android 15 Developer Preview 2 features

Android 15 DP 2 enhances communication, productivity, privacy, security, media experience, and more:

Satellite connectivity support

Android 15 will allow the device to send/receive messages through SMS/MMS/RCS applications. This will be carried out through low-orbit satellites and DP 2 tries to implement a consistent satellite connectivity UI across the system. Also, apps will be able to know when the device is connected to a satellite.

Screen recording detection

Now with this build, Android apps will be able to detect if the screen recorder is on and they can choose to block this function. It can be helpful if the app screen consists of sensitive information.

PDF features and improvement

Android 15 DP 2 is capable of rendering password-protected files, annotations, form editing, searching, and making selections with the copy command.
