ASUS FonePad 7 Dual SIM voice-calling tablet officially launched for Rs 12,999

We earlier reported that the ASUS FonePad 7 Dual SIM would be launched soon in the Indian market. Well, now the wait is over, because the company has officially launched the tablet in India. The latest ASUS tablet has been released with dual-SIM slots, with support for voice calling. It will be available to buy for Rs 12,999 starting tomorrow.

Talking about the specs, the ASUS FonePad 7 Dual SIM flaunts a 7-inch HD LED Backlit IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, paired with a 300MHz PowerVR GPU and 1GB of RAM. For storage needs, it has 8GB of internal storage, which you can expand further up to 64GB via a microSD card. It sports a 5MP rear snapper with support for 1,080p video recording, and a 1.2MP front shooter offering 720p video recording.

Connectivity features of the FonePad 7 include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. It is fuelled by a 3,950mAh battery, which ASUS claims will offer 28 hours of 3G talk time and 35 days of standby time. It is offers SonicMaster audio technology for a smooth media viewing experience. The FonePad 7 has been introduced in grey and white colour models.
