boAt Ring is priced at Rs 8,999 and you can buy it from Flipkart and Amazon starting August 28.

boAt Ring allows for single-hand usage and part of this offering is how it can be interacted and controlled using simple swipes and touches. 

Here are the boAt touch control functions:

• Music controls: You can touch to control music playback including pausing, resuming, and changing tracks.
• Click pictures: You get to remotely control the shutter of your connected phone camera and capture photos. This would be nifty to click pictures of large groups as you can place the phone at a distance and once the frame is right, take the picture.
• Navigate applications: You can swipe on the boAt Ring and navigate through short-form video apps. The company hasn't specified the compatible apps list and what actions lead to what functions. 

boAt Ring health and other features

• Basics: The boAt Ring lets you track heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and even body temperature sensor. You can measure your steps, calories, and sports modes. 
• Emergency calling: In case of emergencies, the boAt Ring can trigger SOS calls and could prove to be a life-saving feature.
• Build: boAt Smart Ring can be picked in 3 sizes viz. 17.40mm, 19.15mm, and 20.85mm. They are made out of premium ceramic and metallic build. It is rated 5ATM water resistant up to a 50-meter depth.
• Battery life: The company claims a 7-day battery life and offers "smart" charging via a proprietary charger.

Last week, we also came across some boAt Ring app store listing screenshots that showed the associated app interface too. So, you can wear the ring and get the stats and controls on this boAt Ring app. 

Now that the boAt Ring is here, Noise will be expected to launch its Luna Ring and some eyes will be on rings from other brands like Apple and Samsung too.
