DIZO smartwatch and TWS earbuds listings reveal they are rebranded Realme products

Highlights
  • Some DIZO products have shown up online via an unlisted webpage.
  • They are little more than similarly-specced Realme offerings with a fresh coat of paint.
  • Realme announced that DIZO would be a part of its Realme TechLife ecosystem some time ago.

Last week, Realme announced that DIZO would be the first brand to fall under its TechLife ecosystem. The nature of the partnership was unclear at the point. One would think that it would involve DIZO developing their products with some help from Realme. However, eagle-eyed Twitter leaker @chunvn8888 happened to find some listed on DIZO’s official website, and even managed to buy something. DIZO is yet to launch any new product officially, so this oversight is rather egregious. The listing seems to suggest that DIZO has slapped a fresh coat of paint on a few Realme products.

As seen in the image above, the DIZO Go Pods look like a rebranded Realme Buds Air 2. Similarly, the DIZO Go Pods D and Realme Buds Q2 are a bit too similar. The same applies to the DIZO Watch. The only silver lining in this is that users in Vietnam will now be able to purchase Realme peripherals, albeit under a different moniker.

We’re yet to see DIZO’s AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) line of products. AIoT essentially consolidates the power of AI with everyday IoT products. None of the products listed above fit the bill, so that leaves us with a few questions. Will DIZO actually launch something that isn’t a Realme rebrand? If yes, how will it differ from similarly-specced Realme offerings? Will Realme offload all IoT production to DIZO to focus more on smartphones? It’s hard to tell at this point, but we should know more once they launch more products.
