Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, who bought the popular social media platform, Twitter, last year is now looking to rebrand it. Twitter might be getting a total redesign and a new name, “X”, as he teased the changes in a series of tweets. To recall, the billionaire had earlier expressed interest in transforming Twitter into a “superapp.”
X Corp. logo unveiled by Twitter CEO Elon Musk
Elon Musk asked users for a “good enough X logo” and he would be ready to take it “live” worldwide by Sunday (in US time zone) in a tweet. It seems like he has been impressed by one of the logos shared by a Tesla investor on the platform. Musk shared the same in a tweet that we’ve embedded below.
Musk also took a poll where he asked the users if the default platform colour should be changed to Black. To recall, the X Corp. company name was registered way back in March as the parent organisation for Twitter. The name also appeared on Google and Apple’s app stores as the organisation distributing the Twitter app.
In another tweet confirming the rebrand, Musk said, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
The move is not surprising considering earlier statements made by Elon Musk. It remains to be seen if he’ll follow through with his claim of adopting a new logo for X Corp. by tomorrow.
