Before going on a long trip via your private vehicle, ensure that the FASTag has enough balance. FASTag is a mandatory electronic toll collection chip for those using national highways in India, aiming to streamline toll payments. When your vehicle with FASTag crosses a national highway toll plaza, the toll amount is automatically deducted from the linked bank account or prepaid wallet, eliminating the need for cash transactions and resultant long queues. Read on to find out how to check the FASTag balance to avoid paying double the toll charge as a penalty for not maintaining sufficient FASTag balance.
