Honor 20S smartphone was recently spotted in the Google Play Console listing, revealing a few key specifications. Now it's confirmed the handset will go official on September 4th, alongside the Honor 20SE. The Honor 20S could be a cheaper version of the standard Honor 20 that was introduced a few months back. The teaser image of the handset shows triple rear cameras with a 48MP primary sensor, which could be accompanied by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth unit. According to the Google Play listing, the Honor 20S would sport a 6.26-inch display, presumably with a Full-HD+ panel and pack up to 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage.
Design-wise, design renders shared with us revealed that the Honor 20S will come with a punch-hole design, likely to accommodate the 32-megapixel front-facing camera. A 3,650mAh battery fuels the phone, 3C certification suggests it could get 20W fast charging support. There could be a 12GB RAM special edition as well. The teaser images reveal a gradient back panel in Blue and White colour palette, as could be seen in the renders shared by us as well. The TENAA listing suggests the Honor 20S could be powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core SoC, and likely to run on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1 skin on top. It could have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor since there is no cut out visible in the teaser images.
The Honor 20S measures 154.25x73.97x7.87mm and weighs 172 grams. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C for data transfer and syncing. Since the launch is just a week away, we don't have to wait much longer to know more details.
