Honor Robot Phone launch date announced after viral FIFA World Cup moment; leaked video reveals more details

Since then, the unconventional smartphone has remained one of the most talked-about upcoming devices, even though Honor has been showcasing it in prototype form since January and at MWC 2026. Now, the company has finally confirmed when it will make its official debut.

The company has announced that the Honor Robot Phone will launch in China on August 12th. Ahead of the unveiling, the company will hold a dedicated showcase on July 28th to demonstrate the handset’s imaging capabilities. Honor has also confirmed that the device has been developed in collaboration with Munich-based cinema equipment maker ARRI, hinting at a strong focus on professional-grade photography and videography.
