"Huawei Nova 5T is expected to ship with Kirin 810 SoC, a punch-hole design and 32MP selfie snapper"
Huawei Nova 5T smartphone has been showcased at the #WeAreNova Fashion show during the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, just as promised. This confirms the phone will be available in various colours, pack glass back, and feature quad rear cameras with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. There is also a new 'Nova' branding on the rear panel. The company earlier unveiled the Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, Nova 5i, and the Nova 5i Pro smartphones in the Nova 5-series. The mid-range Huawei Note 5T is expected to ship with Kirin 810 SoC, pack a punch-hole design with a 6.39-inch OLED HDR Display.
The Huawei Nova 5T is expected to come with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB built-in storage that is further expandable up to 256GB. It is likely to run Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top. In terms of optics, the Nova 5T is said to feature a 16MP ultra-wide angle secondary lens with f/2.2 aperture alongside the 48MP primary lens, a 2MP 4cm macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth of field lens with f/2.4 aperture. It could rock a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats.
Since there is no cut out for a fingerprint sensor, it could be placed beneath the screen, and there is no 3.5mm audio jack; instead, it relies on USB Type-C port for audio. A 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support is said to fuel the phone. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C for charging and data sync. We should know more information in the next few days.
