Intex Mobiles has expanded its range of Aqua series devices with the launch of the Aqua Power. As the smartphone’s name suggests, it is powered by a heavy duty battery, with a capacity of 4,000mAh mAh. The battery can charge completely within 2.5 hours, and can double up as a power bank to charge other USB-powered devices. Intex says the device is capable of delivering 18 hours 3G and 30 hours of 2G talk time, and 600 hours of standby time. Priced at Rs 8,444, the phone is being offered with a free screen replacement for one year.

As far as the other specs are concerned, the Intex Aqua Power features a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution. The processor ticking under the hood is a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M chipset, aided by 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and will be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the future. The device offers 8GB of internal storage, and comes with a microSD card slot for further memory expansion. For photography, the phone is equipped with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with an LED flash, and a 2MP front shooter. Connectivity needs are fulfilled by dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone is available in white, black, blue and grey hues. 

The Intex Aqua Power also features a pedometer function, measuring steps walked and calories burnt. It comes pre-loaded with the Hungama application, and includes 30 days of unlimited audio and video access. 

The company recently launched the Intex Aqua Star Power with a 3,000mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor for Rs 7,490.
