The Rs 34,999 price of the iPhone 11 is excluding the bank price. So if you have an SBI card, the price comes down to Rs 31,269 (including the Rs 29 packing charges). This is really an incredible deal on the iPhone 11 but makes us wonder whether it is worth buying in 2022? Let’s find that out.

iPhone 11

Is iPhone 11 worth buying in 2022?

iPhone 11 was launched in 2019 alongside the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Unlike the other premium models. The iPhone 11 ships with an LCD display and at a launch price of Rs 64,900, this may not have been the best deal. Even at the current price of Rs 31,269, there are better alternatives that come with an AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. So if you are someone who likes to watch media content or play games, the LCD panel just wouldn’t cut it in 2022.

Another important aspect to consider when buying the iPhone 11 is that it doesn’t support 5G. To recall, iPhone 12 and above are the only models that support 5G. So even after spending a premium, you would be missing one of the key features of a smartphone. Though 5G services are not available across the country at the moment, they are expected to be accessible by March 2024. If you are spending Rs 31,000, it may be a better idea to buy a phone that is future-ready.

iPhone 11

Another area where the iPhone 11 might be lagging behind is the camera. At Rs 32,999, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Realme GT 2, iQOO Neo 6 and Pixel 6a can click better pictures than the iPhone 11. However, the video recording should be smooth and better on the iPhone thanks to 4K 60fps recording. Lastly, the battery life of the iPhone 11 is not so great when compared to the large 5000mAh units in the competition.

The performance should surge past the competition, thanks to the A13 Bionic SoC, which is the same chipset as the iPhone SE (2nd generation). However, the iPhone 11 has a clear design edge over the SE. So if you’re looking for an iPhone that is available on a budget, the iPhone 11 is a pretty good option to start with. The iPhone 11 should get also get a couple of more iOS updates before the Cupertino giant stops software support.
