According to the platform, the Croma Unboxed report draws insights from the buying behaviours of Croma customers over the year and a thorough examination of how they use products after making a purchase.

Indian cities that saw a surge in iPhone sales

In 2023, Delhi topped in iPhone purchases, surpassing Mumbai by a substantial 182 per cent.
Delhi’s iPhone sales saw a 47 per cent increase from 2020 to 2021 and a 106 per cent growth from 2021 to 2022.
Mumbai is the second-ranking city in iPhone purchases, experiencing a remarkable 10x surge in iPhone sales in 2022.
Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad saw growth percentages of 198 per cent, 221 per cent, and 132 per cent, respectively, from 2021 to 2022.
As per the report, cities such as Surat, Lucknow, Baroda, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Indore, Vizag, and Nashik are witnessing a remarkable surge in iPhone purchases.

Most preferred iPhone colours among users

The Croma report highlighted the most preferred colour options of the previous iPhone models, which are as follows:

iPhone 11: Black was the most preferred colour, and White followed it.
iPhone 12: Black and Blue were the dominant colour choices for the iPhone 12
iPhone 13: The Starlight White colour option was the top choice followed by Midnight Black, Blue, Pink, and Green.
iPhone 14: Blue and Midnight Black colours became more popular and Starlight White moved to third place.

As per the report, the best-selling iPhone model is the iPhone 13 with 128GB capacity with the Starlight White colour option. It is followed by the iPhone 13 with 128GB in Midnight Black and the iPhone 13 with 128GB in Blue.

The report mentioned another notable trend observed was the substantial increase in iPhone sales at Croma’s physical stores and their online platform. Croma saw a significant rise in iPhone sales, with an 82 percent uptick from 2020 to 2021, followed by an even more impressive 237 percent surge from 2021 to 2022.
