Jio Postpaid Plus plans were announced on Tuesday with some interesting benefits such as free voice calls, SMSes, up to 300GB monthly data, and a free subscription to Disney+ Hotstar VIP, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. The cheapest Jio PostPaid Plus starts from Rs 399 will be available in Jio Stores and through home delivery across the country starting today, i.e. September 24th. We take a look at the cheapest Jio Postpaid plan and compare it with the cheapest postpaid plans from Airtel and Vodafone India (now called Vi), which are priced at Rs 499 and Rs 399, respectively.

Jio Postpaid Plus Rs 399 plan: data and benefits

Jio Postpaid Plus Rs 399 monthly rental plan is bundled with unlimited voice calls and SMS messages, 75GB data per billing cycle, rollover of up to 200GB unused data, and complimentary subscriptions to the mobile-only plan of Netflix (worth Rs 199/ month), Amazon Prime (worth Rs 129/ month), and Disney+ Hotstar VIP (worth Rs 399/ year). Alongside these, users will also get access to JioSaavn, JioCinema, JioTV, and other Jio services. 

The Family Plan is not included with this tariff. For that, you’ll have to go with the Rs 599, Rs 799, Rs 999, or Rs 1,499 plans, which come with additional data benefits, among other things.

Airtel Rs 499 postpaid plan: data and benefits

The Airtel Rs 499 postpaid plan comes with unlimited voice calling and a quota of 75GB data for a month with data rollover. It also includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Prime Videos, free access to the Airtel Xstream app, handset protection against damages and data theft, and Airtel Platinum benefit. Unlike Jio Postpaid Plus, Netflix and Hotstar subscriptions are not bundled with Airtel’s Rs 499 postpaid plan.

The telco also offers Rs 749, Rs 999, and Rs 1,599 monthly rental postpaid plans, which come with similar benefits but include additional data and family add-on connections.

Vodafone Idea Rs 399 postpaid plan: data and benefits

As for the Vodafone Idea Rs 399 postpaid plan, you get 40GB data per month, rollover of up to 200GB unused data, and free voice calls across networks. The monthly rental plan doesn’t include subscriptions to Hotstar, Netflix, and Prime Videos platforms, but you do get Rs 125 bonus cash on My Playing 11 app, up to 200 off on Zomato orders, and access to Vi Movies and TV shows.

If you go slightly up the ladder for Rs 499, you’ll get a Prime Videos subscription, while the Rs 1,099 Vi postpaid plan is bundled with both Netflix and Prime Videos access for free.
