Malayali action film Malikappuram’s OTT release date has been announced. The Vishnu Sasi Shankar-directed movie released in theatres on December 30th, and now, over a month later, Malikappuram will release on OTT on February 15th, 2023. The Malikappuram OTT release date was revealed by Disney+ Hotstar, which will stream the film online. 

Malikappuram plot

Malikappuram is based on the story of Kallu, an eight-year-old little girl who wishes to visit the famous Sabarimala temple. The film depicts the hardships and journey of the girl to fulfil her dream. Malikappuram stars Unni Mukundan, Deva Nandha, and Sreepath as leads. Malikappuram will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. The channel has revealed February 15th, 2023 to be the Malikappuram OTT release date with the hashtag #MalikappuramOnHotstar. As per the tweet, the movie will stream in four languages: Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The movie stars Unni Mukundan as CPO D. Ayyappadas, Deva Nandha as Kalyani “Kallu” Ajayan, and Sreepath as Piyush Unni in lead roles. It further stars Saiju Kurup as Ajayan, Ramesh Pisharody as Unni, Manoj K. Jayan as CI Haneef, and Renji Panicker as Head Master Chandrappan Pillai in supporting roles. The music of the film has been composed by Ranjin Raj.

As per Film Companion, Vishnu, the film’s director said, “It has been a while since we had a film of this genre. We have been making raw and realistic films in the last few years, and this film fits a pattern of storytelling that the audience was missing.”
