Due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, the release of several upcoming movies has been delayed. Disney recently updated the release schedule of its upcoming MCU movies. The release dates mentioned below are based on the updated list shared by Disney.

Deadpool 3
- The sword-flinging, fourth-wall-breaking, foul-mouthed, and very funny R-rated superhero played by Ryan Reynolds will finally enter the MCU with Deadpool 3.
- We know Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine and he may meet Deadpool in a new reality. The cast also includes Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfayden, and Rob Delany.
- It is slated to release on July 26th, 2024. It is directed by Shawn Levy and written primarily by Rhett Reese Paul Wernick.
Captain America: Brave New World
- This movie follows the story we saw in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show on Disney+ Hotstar wherein Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie) took on the role of the new Captain America. To recall, Chris Evans retired as Captain America in Avengers: Endgame.
- The upcoming Captain America movie could also see the return of Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan). But the highlight addition to the cast could be Harrison Ford, who will replace the late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
- The movie is also expected to be released on February 14th, 2025 and is being directed by Julius Onah.

- In the comics, it’s a Suicide Squad-like task force of anti-heroes assembled by Baron Zemo.
- The team includes Yelena Belova (played by Florence Pugh), Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan), Steven Yeun (The Sentry), Red Guardian (David Harbour), US Agent John Walker (played by Wyatt Russell) etc.
- The movie is being directed by Jake Schreier and could come out on May 2nd, 2025.
Fantastic Four
- Fantastic Four would be introduced to the MCU as an active presence in the multiverse.
- Pedro Pascal has been cast as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
- The Thing is said to get a true-to-comics representation. The movie is expected to feature the sidekick robot H.E.R.B.I.E also.
- The movie is reportedly being directed by Matt Shakman and could be released on July 25th, 2025.
Blade
- Not very much is known about this movie besides the fact that Mahershala Ali will be playing the titular role.
- This one will be PG-13 unlike the R-rated 1998 flick starring Wesley Snipes.
- It is being directed by Yann Demange and also stars Mia Goth, Delroy Lindo, and Aaron Pierre. The expected release date is November 27th, 2025.

Agatha Darkhold Diaries
- Yet another spin-off series that’s based on the character Agatha who was the antagonist of WandaVision. Kathryn Hahn will play the main lead.
- Other notable cast members include Emma Caulfield, Aubrey Plaza, and Joe Locke. It may also come out in 2024 and be directed by Jac Shaeffer.
Daredevil Born Again
- One of the most publically and critically acclaimed Marvel superhero shows Daredevil, will get a revamp on Disney+ Hotstar.
- The upcoming series will see the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Matt Murdoch (played by Charlie Cox), back in action against his archrival Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk (played by Vincent D’Onofrio). We may also get to see Jon Bernthal return as The Punisher.
