Moto Buds 2 Fusion India launch set for September 15th
Motorola has confirmed the India launch date for the Moto Buds 2 Fusion. The new true wireless stereo earphones will launch on September 15th and will be sold through Flipkart. Motorola and Flipkart have already listed the product, revealing its design, colours and key specifications ahead of the launch.
The Moto Buds 2 Fusion will be available in Pantone Tap Shoe, Pantone Laurel and Pantone Surf The Web colour options. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
Moto Buds 2 Fusion features
The Moto Buds 2 Fusion feature 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers, paired with Motorola’s proprietary audio tuning. The earphones support Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of up to 55dB, along with a Transparency Mode and Spatial Audio. For calls, each earbud has three microphones, giving the pair six microphones in total. Motorola’s CrystalTalk AI technology is used for noise reduction during calls.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, with AAC and SBC codec support. The earbuds also support multipoint-style automatic switching between devices, Wear Detection and an Earbud Fit Test. Compatible Motorola devices can additionally use Moto AI and Motorola Qira features. The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, while the charging case has an IPX2 rating. That makes them suitable for workouts and everyday outdoor use, although the case is less protected against water than the earbuds themselves.
Each Moto Buds 2 Fusion earbud has a 62mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 530mAh cell. Motorola claims up to 13 hours of playback from the earbuds alone and up to 53 hours with the case. A 10-minute charge is said to provide up to three hours of playback.
The battery figure puts Motorola directly against the OnePlus Nord Buds 4, which claims up to 54 hours with its case and up to 52dB ANC. It also uses 12mm titanium-coated drivers, making it one of the closest rivals to the Moto Buds 2 Fusion on paper. The Nothing Ear is another alternative, although it sits higher in the market with up to 45dB ANC and 40.5 hours of claimed battery life.
The Moto Buds 2 Fusion could be worth considering if Motorola prices them competitively. On specifications alone, 55dB ANC, 12.4mm drivers, six microphones and 53-hour battery life give them a strong feature set. However, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 already offers similar hardware and 54-hour battery life, so price will be important. Buyers should wait for Motorola to announce the price on September 15th before deciding. The Moto Buds 2 Fusion will make more sense if it undercuts or clearly differentiates itself from the OnePlus option rather than simply matching its specifications.
