“The One Power is a mid-range offering with a 6.2-inch display and the Snapdragon 636 SoC”
Last year in September, Motorola launched the One Power (review) in India as its first Android One-based offering in the country. The phone was released at a price tag of Rs 15,999. A couple of months after the launch, the company dropped the price of the handset by Rs 1,000. Now, the brand has announced yet another price drop of Rs 2,000 on the device in the country.
The Motorola One Power is now retailing on Flipkart for Rs 12,999 after its price is slashed by Rs 2,000. Additionally, the e-tailer is offering a 10 percent instant discount to those who are making the purchase with an Axis bank credit or debit card. Notably, the Axis Bank Buzz credit card users are getting an additional discount of five percent. Also, those purchasing the handset on EMI are getting an additional Rs 250 discount with an Axis Bank Buzz credit card.
To recall, the Motorola One Power is a mid-range offering with a notch above the display. The phone has a 6.2-inch full HD+ display bearing an aspect ratio of 19:9. Powering the handset is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. For imaging, the device has a 16-megapixel primary camera at the back, aided by a 5-megapixel secondary snapper. For selfies, there’s a 12MP camera on the front.
In terms of the connectivity, the One Power has dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS with GLONASS. Design-wise, the smartphone has a premium metal unibody design with a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass on top of the screen. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the rear for security purposes. The phone was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo, but has now been upgraded to 9.0 Pie. Powering the handset is a beefy 5,000mAh battery that supports Turbo Power fast charging technology. Lastly, the phone is being offered in a single black colour. Considering the Motorola One Vision India launch is scheduled for June 20th, it suggests that the brand is clearly making way for the upcoming handset.
