Premium design, powerful chipset, strong cameras, & more

The Motorola Signature’s specifications in India remain unchanged from those of the global model introduced earlier this month at CES 2026. The handset sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a dynamic 165Hz refresh rate, up to 6,200 nits of peak brightness, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, making it well-suited for daily use.

Under the hood, the Motorola Signature is powered by Qualcomm’s sub-flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC under the hood. This makes it less powerful than its immediate rival. But, as seen with the OnePlus 15R, the chipset – if well optimised – won’t give you any lags or performance hiccups in everyday use, multitasking, and gaming. The chipset is backed by the fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring that you get quick launches and transfer speeds.

On the software front, the Motorola Signature runs Android 16 out of the box and comes bundled with Moto AI features aimed at improving productivity and usability. Motorola is also committing to seven years of Android OS and security updates, putting the device on par with long-term software support offered by Samsung and Google.

The camera setup on the Motorola Signature includes a 50MP Sony Lytia 828 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 112-degree field of view, and a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. All three, placed on the individual rings, the square-shaped camera deco at the back, along an LED flash ring. The front camera is a 50MP Sony Lytia 500 with autofocus in the punch-hole setup. This is a promising camera setup, but it lags in the primary camera resolution against the Reno 15 Pro Mini, which offers a 200MP main lens in the segment.

Fueling the Motorola Signature is a 5,200mAh battery, which looks relatively modest at a time when 7,000mAh batteries have become common thanks to the Silicon-Carbon tech. That said, charging is a strong suit, with support for 90W wired fast charging, alongside 10W wireless reverse charging and 5W wired reverse charging. Moreover, Motorola has managed to pack everything in a body that measures just 7mm in thickness and 186 grams in weight. This makes it one of the sleekest smartphones in the segment, ensuring ease of use over a prolonged duration.

The handset is IP68 and IP69 certified for water and dust resistance, and meets the U.S. military’s MIL-STD-810H standard for durability. This means the device should comfortably withstand everyday wear and tear, making it well-suited for long-term use. The Motorola Signature also comes with an identity of its own, featuring a unique fabric-finished rear panel paired with an aluminium frame that lends it a premium look and feel. For security, the smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Audio is handled by stereo speakers with dedicated grilles on both the top and bottom edges, certified by Bose and supported by Dolby Atmos for an immersive listening experience.
