However, you’d not get excited about a refreshed iPhone SE design just yet, as it won’t be released at the September 7th Apple’s ‘Far Out’ event. Apple released the latest iPhone SE 3 two years after its predecessor debuted, i.e., iPhone SE 2 launched in 2020, and its successor didn’t come out till 2022. The Cupertino giant also pledged to stick to a two-year update cycle for the iPhone SE, so the next iPhone SE may launch in 2024, as previously tipped.
If that’s the case, by 2024, the iPhone XR will be a six-year-old design. The current iPhone SE 2022, based on the iPhone 8, has a thick top and bottom bezel display and a Touch ID home button. While the iPhone XR’s body will get rid of those, it still won’t look like the current gen iPhones, given that the latest iPhone 14 series is saying goodbye to the notch.
My bad, 2023/2024 model would be 4th generation.

An early prediction from display industry consultant Ross Young suggests the iPhone SE 2024 flaunts a 5.7-inch or 6.1-inch display (an upgrade over the 4.7-inch screen of the current iPhone SE). The latter could be the size of the next iPhone SE’s panel, as the iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch display. Apart from this, we don’t know what this new iPhone SE will offer.
