One of the must-watch new OTT releases this week is Murder in Mahim, which is based on the eponymous novel by Jerry Pinto. The story is set in 2013 in Mumbai, where a murder in the toilet of Mahim railway station makes headlines. The list of new OTT releases this week also includes the blockbuster movie Aavesham written and directed by Jithu Madhavan. The Malayalam language action comedy movie revolves around a gangster (Fahadh Faasil as Ranjith Gangadharan aka Ranga) and three college students (Hipster as Aju, Mithun Jai Shankar as Bibi, and Roshan Shahnavaz as Shanthan). The three friends enjoy their life at college until they have an altercation with a senior. Disheartened and humiliated, they befriend gangster Ranga to teach their senior a lesson. After impressing audiences with two interesting seasons, the crime drama series Undekhi is all set with the release of the third season on OTT this week. Undekhi: Season 3 takes the story forward from the third season, showcasing the continuous struggle for power and survival of the Atwal family. Amidst all the chaos, Atwals are disturbed by the anonymous video sent to them about the dead dancer, who was killed at the wedding by point-blank shot. They need to find their enemy soon and end the matter before anything worse happens. However, old and new enemies create more problems for the powerful Atwals.
Doctor Who Season 14 is another interesting new OTT release this week. Ncuti Gatwa plays the role of the beloved titular character in the sci-fi series, which also stars Millie Gibson as the doctor's vibrant sidekick Ruby Sunday. The duo embarks on numerous thrilling and adventurous journeys in their time-travelling ship TARDIS, which is shaped like a police box. They travel from the Regency era in England to the dystopian future battlefields to confront opponents. This season, the Doctor faces his most formidable nemesis, who is not easy to defeat. All of Us Strangers is a highly acclaimed fantasy romantic drama movie based on Taichi Yamada's 1987 novel of the same name. It is directed by Andrew Haigh, who has also co-written the script with Taichi Yamada. The story centres around a screenwriter named Adam (portrayed by Andrew Scott), who returns to his childhood home. Adam is still struggling to deal with the loss of his parents about three decades ago and their vision pervades his thoughts. However, this retreat to his old house provides him with a mysterious opportunity to heal. He also forms a romantic alliance with his mysterious downstairs neighbour Harry (played by Paul Mescal).
Under the Bridge is a crime drama mini-series starring Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, and Archie Panjabi in lead roles. It is inspired by Rebecca Godfrey's award-winning novel on the true murder story of 14-year-old Reena Virk. The teenager was found dead in Saanich in British Columbia, Canada after mysteriously disappearing from a party. As the story unfolds, many disturbing facts come to light, including profound societal issues. Several young individuals are caught up in the disturbing affairs of the community, which appears peaceful but is far from it.
Another interesting title in the list of new OTT releases this week is the rom-com drama movie Mother of the Bride. The movie is directed by Mark Waters and headlined by Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove, and Benjamin Bratt. Brooke Shields' character Lana is stunned by the news shared by her daughter Emma (played by Miranda Cosgrove) that she is getting married in Phuket in a month. The new OTT release Bodkin is a dark comedy thriller created by Jez Scharf. It is set in the scenic Irish coastal town where three individuals disappeared years ago under mysterious circumstances during the annual celebration of Samhain. The cold case is now being investigated by an American podcaster Gilbert Power (played by Will Forte) and his podcaster assistant Emmy (essayed by Robyn Cara). Soon the duo is joined by investigative journalist Dove (portrayed by Siobhán Cullen), consulting on this true-crime podcast. As the trio tries to solve the cold case, they uncover things that they could never imagined.
Maxton Hall: The World Between Us is a German language romantic drama series releasing on OTT this week. It is based on the bestselling novel Save Me by Mona Kasten and is headlined by Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung. Set in the illustrious private school Maxton Hall, the smart scholarship student Ruby Bell (played by Harriet) crosses paths with the privileged and arrogant millionaire heir James Beaufort (portrayed by Damian). Trouble begins when Ruby stumbles upon James' scandalous secret, which leads to a passionate rivalry between them. However, the equation changes when they develop feelings for each other!
