The phone is already available in the global market and it just got a pink edition the other day. We know the likely specifications of the device, and all that was left to know was the price. Well, now the company has hinted at the Nokia G42 price also.

Nokia G42 price and variants in India (expected)

Nokia Mobile India asked Twitter users to guess the G42 price from two options, viz., Rs 16,xxx and Rs 18,xxx. This could mean that the phone is priced below Rs 18,xxx or that there could be two memory variants at those two price points.

We also know that the Nokia G42 will be available via Amazon India.

We will get the phone in So Gray and So Purple colours. It will be interesting to see if get the all-new So Pink colour as well.

Nokia G42 specifications and features (expected)

Based on the global variant’s specifications, here is what we expect for the Indian edition:

Display: The Nokia G42 will come with a 6.56-inch 90Hz panel. This could have 720×1612 pixel resolution, 560 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Cameras: On the back, the Nokia phone is confirmed to house a 50MP triple camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera. The ancillary cameras on the back could be a 2MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensing module.
Processor: Nokia G42 is confirmed to run on a Snapdragon 480+ chipset with 2.2GHz max clock speed.

Memory: In Europe, the phone is available in 4+128GB and 6+128GB configurations. In India, the company has teased 11GB of RAM which could be with the virtual RAM feature.
Software: The Nokia G42 could boot Android 13 and the software experience could be nearly stock. Nokia assures 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
Battery: The innards of the phone could have space for a 5000mAh battery. This could be backed by a 20W wired charging support.
Connectivity: The rest of the repertoire could consist of WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB-C port.
Repairability: Globally, Nokia is partnering with iFixit to provide users with repair guides and OEM parts like display, battery, and charging ports for five years. However, we are not sure whether Nokia will bring this to India as our Right To Repair framework is still in its early stages.
