Here are the new features, improvements and fixes for Nothing Phone (1).

ChatGPT integration

After installing the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update on your phone, you’ll have to download ChatGPT from the Play Store. It adds a new gesture option in the Nothing X app that lets you start a voice conversation with ChatGPT. It’s currently working with Nothing Ear and Ear (a), and more Nothing audio products will be added soon. This update also adds new ChatGPT widgets, and a button on the screenshot and clipboard pop-up to directly paste content to a new ChatGPT conversation.

  • There’s now a RAM Booster feature that you’ll have to turn on by going to Settings > System > RAM Booster.

Improvements and fixes

  • Nothing has integrated an AI-powered algorithm that should provide smarter lighting adjustments for auto-brightness.
  • The Quick Settings tiles have been reordered for improved accessibility, and new animations to its widgets have been added as well.
  • The response speed when toggling Bluetooth in Quick Settings should be faster now. The volume settings experience has been enhanced as well.
  • This update fixes the Wi-Fi issue where it would automatically disconnect.
  • It also fixes a problem causing earbud volume to not sync with the phone’s volume. It also fixes this issue with the audio not switching to a connected watch during calls when also connected to an earbud
  • This update brings a fix for screenshots not displaying the frame or allowing entry into the editor, and a vibration feedback issue has been sorted too.
