nubia Flip foldable phone was showcased at the MWC 2024 earlier this year. Now, the company has announced the rollout details of the foldable and revealed the price details. The handset features a vinyl record-inspired external display and measures just 7.0mm thick when unfolded. The company used Waterdrop Hinges and strong steel material to achieve this feat. The nubia Flip is priced at $499 (around Rs 41,600) for the 8GB/256GB model and $699 (approx Rs 58,200) for the 12GB/512GB model. In China, the phone will cost RMB 2999 (approx Rs 35,200) for the 8GB/256GB, RMB 3299 (approx Rs 38,000) for the 12GB/256GB and RMB 3,699 (around Rs 42,600) for the 12GB/512GB model.
The foldable comes in Cosmic Black, Sunshine Gold, and Flowing Lilac colour options. Customers can pre-order the phone on the nubia website. The open sale will start on April 23rd (excluding EU and UK).

The nubia Flip phone sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ foldable AMOLED display with 2790 x 1188 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, and 443 PPI. There is a 1.43-inch OLED external display. The foldable is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with Adreno 644 GPU for graphics. The chipset is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The foldable phone features a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats. We get a 4310mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
The nubia Flip runs on Android 13-based MyOS 13 custom skin out of the box. The phone is equipped with dual speakers, DTS:X, and Snapdragon sound technology.
nubia says the Durable Hinge and Flexible Screen have been tested for over 200,000 folds. There is a 3D virtual pet for fun interactions, dual unlock (fingerprint and face unlock), and weighs 209 grams.
