OnePlus 10R will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series chipset, the company has confirmed to 91mobiles. OnePlus India CEO Navnit Nakra told 91mobiles on Monday that the “upcoming OnePlus R series flagship device will be based on the Dimensity 8000 series.” We believe that the phone in question is OnePlus 10R and the chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100, based on our exclusive report last month.
The OnePlus 10R India launch date is yet to be officially revealed. The brand is holding a launch event later this month on April 28th where we expect to see the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord Buds. It is unclear at the moment whether the OnePlus 10R will be part of the April 28th launch event.
OnePlus 10R specifications
In addition to the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, the OnePlus 10R will be getting a 6.7-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. 91mobiles learned last month that the device will be offered in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants along with 128GB and 256GB internal storage, respectively.
Notably, the OnePlus 10R is expected to be the first phone in the numbered series not to feature the Alert Slider. The upcoming OnePlus R series phone will not get a headphone jack as well, though we hear stereo speakers and Dolby Audio will be present.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 10R will offer a triple camera system at the back that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone will get a 16MP camera for crisp selfies.
The OnePlus 10R will feature a similar battery and fast charging combination as the Realme GT Neo 3. One version is expected to feature a 4,500mAh battery with 150W charging while another version will get a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging. Lastly, the OnePlus 10R will come with Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 out of the box.
