OnePlus 12 will be the brand’s next flagship offering, which will arrive as a successor to the OnePlus 11. The company has been openly teasing and revealing newer details about the flagship, including the chipset, display and camera configuration. The flagship is also expected to debut in India but that will happen probably around early January 2024. Ahead of the launch, here’s a quick round-up of the specifications, design and more.

OnePlus 12 launch date

OnePlus 12 will launch officially on December 5th in China. The phone will expand to global markets probably in January.

A recent leak suggested that the OnePlus 12 could debut in India and globally on January 24th. The handset has been listed on the OnePlus global and Indian websites.

The OnePlus 12 price hasn’t been revealed or leaked at the moment but rumours have it that the cost will be more than the OnePlus 11 considering the upgrades. The phone will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. 

To recall, OnePlus 11 was priced at RMB 3999 (approx Rs 46,600) for the 12GB + 256GB version, RMB 4399 (around Rs 51,300) for the 16GB + 256GB mode, and RMB 4899 (approx Rs 57,100) for the 16GB + 512GB model.

OnePlus 12 will be available in White, Rock Black, and Ever Green colours. However, a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station claimed the phone could also come in a new Wood texture finish, which is similar to the original OnePlus One Walnut Wood edition.

OnePlus 12 will mostly retain the same design as the OnePlus 11.

  • There is a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and narrow bezels. The edges are slightly curved.
  • The power button and alert slider are on the right edge. While the volume rocker is on the left edge.
  • The USB Type-C port, speaker vents and a microphone are at the bottom.
  • Moving to the back, you see a large circular module flushed to the left chassis of the phone. The phone houses triple camera sensors and an LED flash.
  • We have the OnePlus logo as well.

OnePlus 12 live images

OnePlus 12 live images have recently surfaced online and this shows the complete design. The front of the phone has very slim bezels, curved edges and a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. The live image shows 1TB storage, a 6.82-inch QHD+ display, 24GB RAM, ColorOS 14 custom skin, and a 5400mAh battery. This also revealed 50MP + 50MP + 64MP triple cameras and a 32MP front camera for selfies.

OnePlus 12 will be available in three models: 16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB, and 24GB + 1TB storage. OnePlus 12 will bear an alert slider.

OnePlus 12 certifications

OnePlus 12 has appeared on multiple certifications, including BIS, CQC, 3C and others. The handset also spotted on benchmarking platforms, including AnTuTu and Geekbench. 

The BIS certification is a good indication to suggest the phone will debut in India, like its predecessor. The CQC certification shows the OnePlus 12 will come with 100W fast charging support. The 3C certification shows the handset will come with 5G network support and reiterates 100W fast charging speed.

The Geekbench listing shows the phone has managed to score 2,169 in the single-core round and 6,501 in the multi-core segment. The phone will come with Android 14 OS, 16GB RAM, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. 

The OnePlus 12 has also been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform and has managed a score of 2,333,033 points. The phone scored 533,566 in the CPU test, 904,961 score in the GPU test, 538,511 score in the memory test, and 355,995 score in the UX side.

OnePlus 12 specifications (expected)

  • Display: The OnePlus 12 is expected to come with a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO BOE X1 OLED display with an OPPO P1 display chip, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM Dimming, 4500nits peak brightness, and BOE single-pixel calibrating technology. 
  • Processor: The handset will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno GPU.
  • Cameras: The OnePlus 12 will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-808 1/1.4″ primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX581 sensor, and a 64MP 1/2.0″ periscope-telephoto lens with a focal length of 70mm, 3x optical zoom, f/2.6 aperture, and OIS. The front camera could be a 32MP shooter
  • RAM and Storage: The chipset is paired with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
  • Battery: The handset packs a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
  • OS: The phone runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS custom skin out of the box.
  • Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.3, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
  • Others: An in-display fingerprint sensor, Hi-Res audio, and Dolby Atmos.
