OnePlus 9 Lite price and specifications have been tipped in a new report this week. The smartphone is said to launch alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in mid-March. Unlike the company’s typical trend of launching two models in its flagship series, the OnePlus 9 series will include three models. Earlier this month, it was rumoured that the third model would be called OnePlus 9E. Now, Android Central has reported that this phone will OnePlus 9 Lite. The report also sheds some light on the OnePlus 9 Lite specifications and price.

OnePlus 9 Lite specifications will include this year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, while the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by the new Snapdragon 888 SoC. Moreover, the report claims that the OnePlus 9 Lite will offer the same hardware as the OnePlus 8T, which means you can expect a 90Hz or 120Hz AMOLED display along with 65W fast charging support.
Interestingly, the OnePlus 9 Lite may come with a plastic rear panel instead of glass. This will further enable the company to launch the phone at a lower price point.
OnePlus 9 Lite price, according to the report, could be around $600 (approx Rs 44,200). While there is no word on the phone’s release in India, we expect it to arrive at an even more affordable price point to compete against value flagship phones from the likes of Realme and Xiaomi. Meanwhile, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro prices are said to start from around $780 to $800.
OnePlus 9 Lite cameras may also be similar to the OnePlus 8T. However, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected to come with a brand new camera system, possibly backed by Leica. A recent leak revealed the regular OnePlus 9 will get a 50MP primary camera, a 20MP wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens.
