- OnePlus phone with Dimensity 1200 SoC expected to launch soon.
- This could be the OnePlus Nord 2.
- OnePlus Nord 2 launch tipped to take place in mid-June.
It is no secret that OnePlus is rumoured to be working on a few Nord devices for 2021. We have seen reports on the OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus Nord CE 5G in recent times. These phones, if not more, are expected to launch later this year but there is very little information about them as of now. Back in March, there was a report that the OnePlus Nord 2 will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. This phone was also tipped to launch in Q2 2021, which means we should expect it before the end of June. Now, noted tipster Digital Chat Station has reaffirmed that OnePlus is indeed working on a phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
OnePlus Nord 2/ CE 5G with Dimensity 1200 SoC coming soon
According to tipster Digital Chat Station (via Mukul Sharma), the OnePlus phone with the Dimensity 1200 chipset is expected to release soon. This is most likely the OnePlus Nord successor, called the Nord 2. However, the phone could also be called the OnePlus Nord CE 5G as it has been in the news off late. The phone is expected to launch in mid-June, according to tipster Mukul Sharma. Moreover, the OnePlus Nord 2 can also be expected to launch in India.
To recall, the company launched the OnePlus Nord in India as a sub-Rs 25,000 smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. The potential successor carrying the Dimensity 1200 sounds like a good upgrade. The original Nord also features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 48MP quad cameras, and a 4,115mAh battery with Warp Charge 30W fast charging, among other things. You can expect the OnePlus Nord 2 to come with a few more upgrades under the hood. Perhaps a faster-charging speed and improved cameras? We should know more about the OnePlus Nord 2 specifications in the days leading up to the launch.
