OnePlus Open renders show off design
The latest renders are based on pre-production units of the OnePlus Open and they come from OnLeaks in partnership with SmartPrix. The new renders show several tweaks to the design that makes it look different compared to the first leaked renders that were revealed last month. The OnePlus Open has the same book-folding mechanism but it’s now more compact, similar to the upcoming OPPO Find N3. This backs our exclusive report that the OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 will feature the same design.
With the redesigned compact look, OnePlus Open now has a bigger display with thinner bezels. The foldable also has rounded corners as compared to the curved edges on the initial design. With a broader but smaller frame, the OnePlus Open seems more suitable for one-handed use. The rear camera module, however, looks quite large on the OnePlus Open. It’s the same circular design that is present on the OnePlus flagships. There’s also an ‘H’ branding on the cameras suggesting OnePlus’ partnership with Hasselblad.
Another change is the punch-hole selfie camera on the interior display. OnePlus has moved it from the left corner to the right corner. Other notable findings include the alert slider on the OnePlus Open and a leather finish at the back.
