OnePlus has begun releasing a fresh update for its foldable phone, the OnePlus Open. This foldable smartphone was launched last year and currently operates on Android 14, featuring OxygenOS 14.
The latest update – for Indian consumers – focuses on enhancing the camera performance, introducing new features, and incorporating the March 2024 security patches. Here are the details of the update.

Via the community forum, it is known that the new update is currently available only for the OnePlus Open users in India. The update introduces new camera features like the XPAN mode for using ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, and improved shutter response.
The new update also includes the latest March 2024 security patch for Android, along with various system enhancements such as app-specific volume control and a new partial screenshot option in the Smart Sidebar.OnePlus Open specifications
The OnePlus Open boasts a large 7.82-inch 2K 120Hz AMOLED main display and 2,800 nits peak brightness. When folded, it transforms into a compact device with a 6.31-inch 2K 120Hz AMOLED display.
Under the hood, the Open is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and offers 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Additionally, it supports RAM expansion options of up to 4GB, 8GB, and 12GB for enhanced multitasking capabilities.
This foldable device includes a 48MP Sony LYT-T808 main camera, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor with 3X optical zoom, and a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle sensor. For selfies, the OnePlus Open offers a 20MP primary front camera and a 32MP secondary front camera.The phone packs a 4,805mAh battery, supported by 67W SUPERVOOC Charging technology for fast charging. The package also includes an 80W SUPERVOOC adapter for quick and convenient charging.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Additionally, it features Dolby Atmos for immersive audio experiences.
