Let’s have a look at the newly discovered details one by one.
OnePlus Open price in India (expected)
As per a new WinFuture report, OnePlus Open is expected to be priced in the US under $1,700 (roughly around Rs 1,41,341.40). An earlier claim by tipster Yogesh Brar had pegged the OnePlus Open India price to be below Rs 1,20,000.
Either way, it seems will come priced less than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. If the former price is true, then the difference wouldn’t be much to excite buyers in price-sensitive markets like India.
Speaking of launch markets, this report also claims the phone will be launching in Europe but won’t make it to Germany due to some copyright infringement case with Nokia.
OnePlus Open specs and design (expected)
- Display: When opened, the device could have a 7.82-inch AMOLED panel with 2440×2268 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the cover display could stretch 6.31 inches. It too could be AMOLED in nature with 2484×1116 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: The expectation is a 3.36GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU with Adreno 740 GPU.
- Software: OnePlus Open could boot Color OS 13.1 based on Android 13.
- Memory: It could be armed with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The WinFuture report talks of only a 256GB storage variant.
- Battery: A 4805mAh battery could keep it alive bolstered by a 100W charging support.
- Cameras: On the back, there could be a 48MP+48MP (ultrawide)+ 64MP (3x telephoto zoom lens). The phone could also have 32MP and 20MP lenses for selfies and video calls. The new renders reveal the OnePlus-Hasselblad partnership for this phone. So, we could expect some custom filters and tuning from the Swedish brand.
OnePlus Open launch date
Since the company has already started teasing the impending launch, we suppose the date isn’t too far. The rumour mill suggests October 19th.
